Mr. Ward Price states that the Serbian remnants, which are greater than estimated, amount to probably 150,000 of first line troops, Th» Bulgars are disinclined to taKe the risk of being made the German catspaw. They claim that Serbia has been conquered, that the railway from Belgrade to Constantinople has been restored, and that their part of the bargain nas been concluded. They consider that' to attack the Allies in Macedonia *ust be the subject of a fresh arrangement, including territorial reward, which Greece, Macedonia, and Germany are tutable to premise, hence the existing perplexity. GERMAN GENERALS QUARREL. The Echo de Paris is reliably informed that grave dissensions exist in the German higher command, especially with Hindenburg and Falkenhayn, resulting in a series of counter-orders, divisions being- transferred, recalled, and retransferred The journal comments on the general staff hesitating, and does not knpw ; when an end will be put to this painful and difficult situation. The Italian expedition occupies a strong position in the coastal country, and has completed communications with Valona and Durazzo.
