ON SICK AND WOUNDED. THE SCALE OF FEES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, December 31. The following scale of fees for attendance on sick and wounded soldiers has been approved:— Seven shillings and sixpence per visit shall be paid to medical officers throughout the Dominion for attendance and treatment of sick and wounded soldiers at their own homes; seven shillings and sixpence per case for treatment of patients who call at the consulting room or surgery of a medical officer; one guinea per diem (irrespective of rank) to he paid to medical officers for treatment of patients at convalescent homes, and such work will be undertaken by officers of the New Zealand Medical Corps where sucli are available. The treatment of patients at general hospitals will be carried out by the resident medical officer or the staff without remuneration, The fee for attendance at medical boards or consultations on sick and wounded soldiers shall be 5s per member per man, with a minimum of £1 Is. All prescriptions will be sent to the Defence chemist, if one exists. The above scale of fees applies equally to military as weil as civil medical officers. General hospitals will be used as iar as practicable.
