Tile following special message lias been received from Mr Malcolm Ross, Official New Zealand war correspondent:— "In the a-ction on Christmas Bay the Trenthnm First Battalion were absolutely cool and displayed great courage under fire. They stormed Douga, with the Sihks, and advanced within two hundred yards of the enemy, finally driving them off at the point of the bayonet. At night, carrying their wounded, they inarched back seven Miles tq camp singing. They thoroughly enjoyed the day. The wounded in hospital at Cairo and at Alexandria are nearly all progressing favorably. The Seventh and Eighth Reinforcements are busy drilling and ronte marching. They create a very favorable impression.
