- PROSECUTE THE WAR. FRENCH SOCIALISTS' DECISION. Received Jan. 1, 9.30 p.m. Paris, Dec. 31. A National Congress of Socialists passed a resolution to adhere to the war untU Alsace and Lorraine, after * formal vote of the inhabitants, are reunited to France, and Austro-Germans have evacuated all invaded countries, and a durable peace is aasured. The Congress recommends compulsory arbitration for the settlement of internal disputes, with measures, both economic and military, enforcing reaped to signatures, together with reduction of armament. It urged that the Germans should secure the people's sovereignty by establishing universal suffrage, and declares that the resumption of relations with German Socialists will be dependent on their repudiation of militant Imperialism and the policy of conquest. The Congress endorsed Mr Asqulth's statement against the conclusion of a separate peace.
