January 1 (New Year's Day) will be observed as close holidays. Mails.—Mails usually despatched on Saturday will be closed on Friday nights, December 24 and 31, at S o'clock. On December 27 (for Boxing Day) the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made; the receivers and posting boxes will bo cleared accordingly. R.T. d .O. —The Travelling Post Office will run as usual. Counter Delivery.—Deliveries of town letters (ordinary and registered) will he made on Friday nights, December 24 and 31, from 8 to 9 p.m. Letter-carriers' Deliveries.—One complete delivery by letter-carriers will he made on December 27, commencing at 7.30 a.m. There will be no delivery on either Christmas or New Year's Day.
