FIRES.
SERIOUS OUTBREAK AT WANGANUI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Yesterday. The Steam Laundry Company's brick building was destroyed by fire this morning. The machinery and plant were ruined and it is estimated the loss is between £3OOO and £3500 above (lie insurances, which totalled £2950, of •which £IOOO was on efie building. Articles belonging to 549 soldiers from the Hangiotu Camp, including 2000 blankets were burned.
