ROYAL PICTURES. Have you seen Gertie? She made her J appearance at the Theatre Royal last night, and her grbtesque evolutions created roars of laughter. Gertie is a Dinosaurus, a prehistoric animal, which eats up trees in a moment and drinks a lake dry. She takes her creator, who looks like a speck on a mountain, for a ride. Quite a lot of enjoyment is to be derived from witnessing this film. "The Nile" was a most instructive film, showing the Nile bridge, the locks, harbor, etc. The dramas shown were a capital lot, particularly "The Navajo Ring," "The •Fate of No. 1," and "The Secret Code," the latter being a most thrilling film. The comedies were "Susie's Suitors" ana "The (Panther's Prowl," and were most laughable. The Australian Gazette was an interesting number and included cartoons by Harry Julius. The programme will be screened again to-night.
