AUSTRALIA.
NOT BEGUN TO WIN. AN APPEAL TO SLACKERS. Received Dee. 21. 9.20 p.m. Sydney, Dee.' 21. Major-General McCay. in an address on war conditions, said that Australians had not yet realised the gravity of the situation, on the three war fronts. The position was .less satisfactory for the Allies than, when'war. broke out. The war had not yet begun to be. won by the Allies, who on every side were" faced with greater difficulties than existed sixteen months ago. He appealed to every Australian to do his duty. Every man was wanted at once, and'if all physically fit single Australians enlisted they would have enough men.
