The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agencv Company, Ltd., Stratford branch, report as follows: On Saturday, 27th November, for our Stratford horse fair we had a fair entry of horses, and the following prices were realised: Half-draught horses £2l, £26 to £27 15s, harness horses £0 10s, £lO 13s to £l2 10s, good remounts £l3 17s CI to £2O, hacks £4 4s, £4 10s, £5, £5 1 ."is to £O, horse, gig and harness £2O 13s. mares and foals £3 12s. On Tuesday, November 30. we held our usual fortnightly sale in our Stratford yards when we had a yarding of 341 head of cattle, which we sold, prices realised being as Follows: Fat cows £B, £8 2s Od, £8 S?,'£S lis, £8 19s, £9 (is, to £9 15s; forward vows, £7, £7 7s, £7 10s, to £7 17s; good store cows poor and thin, £3 13s to £4 17s (id; calved heifers, £4 7s Gd to £4 12s 6d; 18'months steers, £3 18s 0d; 2y s -year steers, £4 17s (id to £5 H; yearling heifers £2 ss, £2 15s to £3; la-months heifers £3 !0s; 2-year heifers, £4 8s; bulls, £3 17s Od to'£4 Is. On Tuesday, November 30th, we also held our springing heifer sale, in our Stratford yards when we had a yarding of 23 head of cattle, prices secured being as follows: Good big springing heifers, £7, £7 10s to £8 10s; for smaller springing heifers, but good quality £5 10s to£0; poor small springing heifers, £3 12s (id, £4 10s, to £4 15s; ealved heifers, £G IDs, £7, to £7 15s; springing cows, £7 10s to £10; calved cows, £7 15s. On Tuesday, Nov. 30, we also held our pig sale in our Stratford yards when we had a yarding of 35 pigs, all of which were disposed of at the following prices: Good store pigs, SSs to 295: for smaller store pigs, 17s, 17s (id to 19s; for small store pigs, thin, 10s, lis, 12s Od, 13s, 13s Od. 14s Gd to 15s; for very young pigs, 6s Od. Our next Stratford sale will be held on Tuesday, 14th December. Since we last reported we. have disposed of a good deal of stock privately, and we quote the following prices: 2yenr heifers. £3 10s to £4 ss; yearling heifers, £-2 12s fid; 13-months steers, £3 13s (id to £3 10s Gd: 18-months steers. £4 Is: 3-yoar bullocks, £8 ss. £8 10s. to £9 10s: 4-year bullocks, £l3; 2-vear steers, £4 15s, £5 13s Gd, £G5s, to'£7; fat cows. £ll 7s Gd: store cows.' £5 fls; dairy heifers, £8 Bs, £B, £8 10s. £7 10s, £7 to £0 10s; springing heifers £4 14s (id; dairy cows, £8 10s; hoggets. 22s Gd to 23s 9d; ewes and lambs. 20s Gd. 31s, to 32s 0d; fat ewes, 225.
