DEPUTATION TO A MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Dec. 3. The Hon. J. A. Hanan, in response to a request by a Friendly Societies' deputation, promised to bring under the notice olf the Minister of Stamp? a request that friendly societies should be exempt from stamp duty on receipts in regard to fees charged by friendly society doctors. The deputation expressed a fear that the Wellington movement, for increased fees would extend to Auckland, and the chairman expressed the opinion that the only solution of the difficulty would be the nationalisation of the medical profession.
