AUSTRALIA.
MILITARY RAID. SOME"IMPOSTORS CAPTURED. Sydney, Dec. 3. In the recent military raid 38 men were captured wearing uniform who were not connected with the military. One was on crutches with a bandaged leg, and another claimed to have been blinded. Nothing was wrong with either, and neither had been at the front. MILITARY POLICE DUTIES, Sydney, Dec. 3. The State Commandant asserts that he intends to abolish military police. Each battalion will do its own policing.
WEEK-END LEAVE. APPEAL TO- RESTIVE SOLDIERS. Received Dec. 3, 11.41) p.m. Sydney, Dec. 3. There is a probability that the recent restiveness amongst the soldiers will disappear. The commandant, at Liverpool camp announced that he proposed to give regular week-end leave, if the men will give their word that they will play the game and return to camp on Sunday night. The men's reply was a. thunderous. "Yesl" '
