AIR BATTLES. GAS AT THE DARDANELLES. Received Nov. 29, 9.5 p.m. Paris, Nov. 29. A communique reports a scries of aerial combats and raids. A squadron of then ignited the sheds at Habsheim, near Mulhouse. We brought down four machines, and one fell into the sea at We&tende. An enemy torpedoer and several pinnaces put out from Ostend and Middelkerlce and attempted to salve it, but the Allied seaplanes' artillerj' sank a pinnace. There is marked artillery activity at the Dardanelles. The Turks, in attacking the British, used asphyxiating gas for the first time, but without result. THE CAUCASUS AND PERSIA. A RUSSIAN REPORT. Received Nov. 29, 9.5 p.m. Petrograd, Nov. 29. A communique states: In the Caurasus, near Teve Village, north of Tortura Lake, our scouts descended precipices by ropes and rushed the Turkish detachments, capturing their arms. We drove, the Kurds at Urumiah Lake from Persian to Turkish territory. Matters have been quiet in the Teheran I region since the Russians arrived.

Our first aim, to open communication with Turkey, via Bulgaria, is achieved. Over one hundred thousand Serbians have been captured, while the German losses have been moderate.
