MOA RIDING VACANCY. MR. J. SIMPSON ELECTED. The complete returns of the election for the vacancy in the Moa Riding of the Taranaki County Council were available on Saturday afternoon, and placed Mr. J. Simpson at the head of the poll with 151 votes, while his opponent, Mr. R. Stevens, secured 10: i votes—a majority of 48 votes. The polling was not heavy, only about twenty-seven per cent, of the electors voting, while at New Plymouth not a single vote was recorded.
