"Amsterdam, Nov. 20. An Austrian communique reports: Three thousand shells fell on Gorizia in two hours, causing serious fires. The military damage was trifling, but the inhabitants suffered severe losses in lives and property. The enemy repeatedly penetrated our lines on Doberdo Plateau, but we maintained our positions after hand to hand fighting. Mahomedans at Sanjak cheered the entry of our troops. The German-Bul-gariau advance to Prisbtina is progressing.

'Then the Fusiliers charged and dispersed them, capturing much material. Enemy aeroplanes bombed Verona, Vicenza, and Grados. There were few casualties. They also dropped fifteen bombs on killing twelve civilians and wounding nineteen.

■ ON GALLIPOLI. Pr THE ENEMY'S STORY. ' Received Nov. 21, 5.50 p.m. Amsterdam, Nov. 20. A Turkish communique claims that by a flanlung fire and counter-attack at Kritbia they repulsed the enemy and occupied the old positions, the enemy's losses being severe.
