News of the doings of the New Zealand forces is awaited with keen interest, it being understood that the forces have returned to the front, after a period of rest. There is some ground for believing that the New Zealanders have gone again to Gallipoli. TREATMENT OF RETURNED SOLDIERS. Auckland, Nov. 20. Referring to the fact that invalided soldiers receiving treatment in their own homes do not receive the ration allowance of two shillings per day, which is paid when they are under treatment in hospitals or convalescent home?, Mr. Massey to-night said: "Now tlmt my attention has been called to the result of this arrangement, I shall take the opportunity of consulting the Defence Minister on the point, with a view to the matter being brought before Cabinet and improvement being made. The Govcrinment as a whole is anxious to treat our returned soldiers well, and do everything possible for their comfort." QUEEN CARNIVAL AT ROTOROA, Rotonia, Nov, The local schools Queen Carnival, organised wndcr the auspices of the Patriotic Fund Committee, closed to-night, after three weeks' strenuous campaign. The. sum of £l3lß 18s was raised by the votes, at twopence each, for the five candidates.
