A SKIRMISHING EPISODE. 'Received Nov. i 9, 10.45 p.m. London, Nov. Iff. Sir John French reports: Hostile artillery ia active east and north-east of Ypres. A small party of our troops carried out a successful enterprise on the night of November 18-17. just north of the. river Douve, south-cast They forced an entrance to the enemy's front trench and bayoneted thirty occupants, returning with the loss of one killed and one wounded, and bringing in twelve prisoners.
