" MOTHER GOOSE » PANTOMIME. ■Pretty girls, the latest songs and\ dances, good comedy, excellent speciality turns, beautiful scenery, and elaborate costumes all go to make up Stanley McKay and Co.'s production of "Mother Goose," to be presented to local theatregoers in the Theatre Royal to-morrow night. Since last produced some few J years back in New Zealand, with Mr.! Harry Phydora and the late Harry Shine filling the important comedy roles, the extravaganza lias been brought right up to date. The present production scintillates with quaint humor and original patter, and nothing lias been left undone in the endeavor to place before the public just the form of amusement they are looking for. The cast has been spe-1 dally selected, anil is headed by Mr. •James Gerald and Mr. Will Raynor, two excellent comedians, whose humor is in- j fectious. The prinicpal boy and girl are in the capable hands of Miss Essie Jennings and Miss Rosie Coleman, both j well - known Australian performers. | Others prominent in a lengthy cast are Mr. Richard Dunbar, Mr. Will Speed, Miss Carmen Coleman, Miss Rubee Ray-1 inond, and Miss Annie Lillilund. These artists are supported by a full ballet, chorus and orchestra. A line speciality is provided by Mr. Will Speed, who, as the "tramp cyclist," does some wonderful tumbling and acrobatic bicycle riding. llis turn in Auckland was one of the features of the pantomime. The box plan of "Mother Goose" is at CollicrV, where seats may he reserved with-1 out extra charge. Mothers are remindeds that there will be a matinee performance of "Mother Goose" on Saturday afternoon, when children will be admitted for fid and Is. F.MPIRK PICTURES. A powerfnllyenaeted mystery drama by Kalem, entitled "The Figure in Black," is included on to-night's new programme. Everybody loves a mystery, and here is a good mystery around which there is a .sweetly pretty love story. Another feature film is "The Heart of Flame," bv the Reliance Co. The story tells of the struggles and successes of a young violist in his effort to acquire genius. I With the new programme there is a film which is both very interesting and very funny, entitled "Mabel and Fatty Viewing the World's Far at San Francsco." This film shows many of the wonders of the Panama Exposition now in full swing at San Francisco. A number of other subjects are filled, including the latest Gazette.
