GERMAN TYRANNY. MORE TRIBUTE FROM RELGIUM. Amsterdam, Nov. 14. The German Governor-General lias imposed a monthly contribution of .C 1,000,000 on Belgium for the requirements of army and civil administration. There are fresh restrictions on the population of Brussels. All must he indoors and shops and theatres closed at 7 o'clock. Persons cannot visit even in the immediate neighborhood without a permit. There is a similar policy at Courtrai. The Telegraaf states that large reinforcements have arrived in Flanders from the East.
CHOKED UP. ZEEBRUGGE HARBOR. Amsterdam, Nov. 14. Owins to the British bombardment the Germans are uuable to dredge, and Xeebrugge harbor is therefore choked. IN THE LABYRINTH. A SHORT SKIRMISH. Received Nov. 15, 11.30 p.m. Paris, Nov. 15. A communique says: In the Labyrinth a sharp German attack penetrated one of our first line trenches, which was recovered by a counter-attack, KILLED IN ACTION. DEATH OF THE EARL OF SEAFIELD. Received Nov. 15, 11.30 p.m. London, Nov; 15. The Earl of Seafield 'has been killed in action in France. Received Nov. 15, 11.55 p.m. ' London, Nov. 15. The Earl of Seafield was struck on the head by a fragment of shell on Friday, and died on Saturday. [The Earl of Seafield (James OgilvieGrant), was born in Oamaru in 1870. He received his education at Oamaru and at Christchurch, and succeeded to the title in ISBB. He married a Christchurch lady.]
