ON THE SEA.
ANOTHER PIRATICAL OUTRAGE. ITALIAN STEAMER SUNK. Received Nov 14, 3.30 p.m. Rome, Nov. 13. A v submarine sank the Italian steamer Firenze in the Mediterranean. Six passengers and fifteen of the crew are missing. Twenty-seven passengers and ninetyeii of the crew were saved. SUNK BY SHELLFIRE. - SCARED LASCARS. Received Nov. 14, 3.50 p.m. Rome, Nov. 13. ft is semi-officially announced that an Austrian submarine sank the Firenze in the vicinity of Syracuse. The vessel was bound to Port Said. The Firenze's crew were mostly Lasrars, who abandoned their posts when the submarine opened fire. After six boatloads had been lowered the submarine sank the Firenze by shellfire. \ r A NOTORIOUS U. ,TXDER FALSE COLORS. iteceived Nov, 14, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Nov 13. The Daily Express says that it is (emitted to indicate the number of new ships that have been added to the fleet, and states that fourteen superdreadnoughts, to be completed by January, have been added since the beginning of the war.
SINKING OF THE ANCONA.
