THE LIQUOR TIIADE STRIKE. BEER GARDEN* APPROVED. Sydney, Nov. 9. To-day was another thirsty day In the city and suburbs most hotels have exhausted the bulk of the stocks of beer and have closed the front bars. There is active picketing, thus preventing the breweries and aerated factories from delivering supplies. Bottled liquor is still available. Cabinet has approved the soldiers' beer-garden scheme, and ha.s also decided to establish a dry canteen in Hyde Park. The former will bo conducted by the Citizens' Committee, and the latter by the City Council.
