HOTEL BRAEBURN.
MAGNIFICENT PRIVATE HOTEL AT WANGANUI. On Monday, November 15, there will be opened at Wanganui a private hotel which will be equal to anything of the kind in the Dominion. The Hotel Braeburn is situated 011 an elevated site on Anzac Parade, that portion of the river bonk road which has been selected to commemorate the historic gallantry of New Zealanders at Gallipoli. The hotel, which is of striking design, commands a. glorious view. Below it flows the Wanganui River, while the town and surrounding country for many miles around are seen to advantage, a glimpse also being obtained of the blue waters of the Pacific. Five large balconies arc bathed in sunshine from early morning to sunset, while pure air from the ocean sweetens and tempers the sun's rays. No more desirable spot could be conceived, especially when it ia mentioned that a tennis' court and ornamental grounds will adjoin. The hotel itself is magnificent. Apart from handsome dirting, drawing, smoking, and writing rooms, commodious lounge, and other conveniences (including a properly equipped dark room for photographers) 'there is bedroom accommodation for over CO guests. The bedrooms are exceptionally large, and a number of them are provided with hot and cold lavatories, electric radiators and bells, as well as electric light, with which the whole building is supplied. Practically every bedroom is carpeted, and the furniture, specially designed, is very handsome. This is especially the case in a beautiful bridal chamber and other special rooms. The great majority of the bedrooms have a sunny aspect and a very charming outlook. Seven beautifully tiled bathrooms (hot, cold and shower) and lavatories are provided. The building is practically fire-proof, having been constructed of brick and piaster. For the convenience of motorists, a brick garage has been built, and, as Hotel Braeburn stands on the main road from New Plymouth to Wellington, it should become very popular with the motoring public. Hotel Braeburn is sev<yi minutes' walk from the railway station and Post Office, and three minutes' walk from trams, which go to all parts of the toyrn and the suburbs,— Advt.
