BLENHEIM BORE TO BE DEEPENED. All persons interested in the oil industry will he pleased to learn that a determined, effort is to lie made by the Blenheim, Company to push its well at Moturoa to the, boo Oft. level. The directors have been quietly working for some time and have secured most of the necessary capital required for carrying on the operations of the company for the next ten or twelve months, which should he ample time for reaching the desired goal. The well is reported to be in perfect order, and is cased to a uepth of SGOOft. with 'd-ineh easing. Though good oil may he struck before reaching the maximum depth, preparations have been made for drilling to 5200 feet if necessary. Various of the Government geologists locate the main supply of oil at Moturoa at about fIOOO feet, asserting that the oil produced in t]rc past has migrated upwards from this depth. Drilling wa3 resumed yesterday morning-, after a spell of 'five months. Success at the Blenheim well .means untold prosperity to Taranaki.
