MINISTER FOR EDUCATION.
VISIT TO NEW PLYMOUTH. The Minister for Education (tlic lion. ■J. A. lijnan), will arrive in New I'l.v--moiit.li by the mail train to-morrow night, and will renin in here until Friday, when lie leaves i'or Stratford. The Minister will bo accompanied by his private secretary (Mr, ¥. M. Sherwood). Mr. 11. Okey, M.P., communicated with the Minister yesterday, and on his suggestion the following arrangements were made: To-morrow night the Minister will meet deputations at the White Hart Hotel from the Taranaki Education Board, and the High School Hoard, each body having several matters to place before him. A deputation from the Taranaki Teachers' Association will also wait on Mr. •llannn in regard to temperance teaching- in schools. On Thursday, the Minister will visit the Boys' High School and the Girls' High School, and the site for the new girls' school. The public schools in the town will also he visited.
