One hundred pounds wiil be advanced to develop each farm. A LARGE TOTAL. Received Nov. 7, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 6. Australian casualties to date total •2-0.06/. MUNITIONS WORK. Received Nov. 7, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, Nov. G. Mr. Pearee states that the Federal Government is informing the States munition committees that all shells produceable are urgently required for at least eight months to come. If certain firms confine themselves to private work the Government will consider the advisability of taking control of the works, or limiting the profits of produced private work. State committees are required to investigate and report to the Federal committee any firms which are not manufacturing munitions, and which are capable of doing so. Men capable of munition work will not be allowed to enlist, and those who have enlisted will be replaced at munition works.
