Christehurch, Oct. 31. The animal meeting of the \'ew '/.ealatul Cricket Council was held on Saturday night. The opinion was unanimously expressed that no Plunket Shield or Hawkc Cup matches should be played during the currency of the war, nor representative matches for charitable objects.
The president of tlie Auckland Association was elected president of the connoil, and the presidents of the other affiliated associations vice-presidents. The retiring officers and management committee were re-elected, Metsiii Heatheote Williams, F. S. Walding, and I'. C. Raphael were elected life members of the council.
