TIMARU A. AND P. SHOW.

JUBILEE OP ITS INAUGURATION. Timaru, Oct. 29. The Timaru A, and P. Association's Jubilee Show was favored with fine weather on both days, and yesterday (People's Day) the attendance was very large—near the record. Efforts have been made to ensure the Jubilee Show being much larger than usual, but adverse conditions, local and Imperial, prevented expectations being realised. The entries showed some increases on those of last year, thanks to the many from North Canterbury and North Otago. Many local exhibitors in previous years were not represented. Lincoln College and the Land Company, Moeraki, filled many of the sheep pens. E. Kelland held his own against the College in English Leicesters, and, with H. Voas, of Waimate, shared the prizes in the breeders' classes. The Land Company led in Lincolns and Corriedaies, the College in Romneys and Southdowns, R. Parry in Shropshires. The light horses, harness, hack, and hunters, proved, as usual, a large section, and draughts a good section. J. R, P/utriek took the championship. The Christcliureh district furnished the pick of the light harness horses. The produce entries were large. Nearly the whole of the collection was given for sale for the Red Cross, and a portion of the profits is to be similarly disposed of.
