ON THE SALONIKA RAILWAY. SUCCESSES OT ALLiIES. Athens, Oct. 18. It is rumored that the Bulgarians have reached Vranja and cut the NishSalonika railway. Severe fighting is in progress at Vranja. The Serbians repulsed the Bulgarians at Zibcftehe. German officers are commanding on the entire Bulgarian front. Official advices from Salonika state that the Allies have also occupied various posts dominating the railway, and the protection of the latter is assured. London, Oct. 18. The Allies have seized the railroad at Enos in Turkey, near the Bulgarian border. THE AEGEAN BLOCKADE. ITALY SENDING SHIPS. Athens, Oct. 18. Italy is sending warships and transports in connection with the blockade of the Bulgarian and Turkish coasts. ALLIED TROOPS FOR MACEDONIA. AN OFFER FROM TURKEY, London, Oct. 18. The Bulgarians have not resisted the landing at Enos. Twenty thousand additional AngloFrench troops left Salonika on Sunday for Macedonia, and further transports are arriving. The Bulgarians have evacuated the Strumnitza district. King Ferdinand announced his intention of proceeding to the Seifoian front, but abandoned it at the eleventh hour consequent on numerous anonymous threats on his life. Turkey recently offered Bulgaria troops to garrison Burgas, Varna, and Dedeagatch. M. Radoslavoff, who was formerly desirous of Turkish co-opera-tion, now hesitates to accept it, aB the Bulgarians are likely hotly to resent the intrusion of foreign elements into their army. ROUMANIAN POSITION. DIPLOMATIC ACTIVITY. Bucharest, Oct. 18. There is great diplomatic activity. The Entente Ministers conferred with M. Bratianu. Despite Roumania's declaration of neutrality the newspapers believe that an important decision will soon be announced. As the result of fresh Russian victories recent Russian advices indicate that the Russians are re-invading Bukovina and threatening to invade Transylvania. The Russian left army has now been reinforced by six new army corps. THE SERBIAN CAMPAIGN. reported' repulses. Amsterdam, Oct. 18. Austro-German communiques state that the Serbian positions at Avala have been stormed and the whole hilly district southward of Belgrade is in the hands of the Austro-Germana. Bucharest, Oct. 18. The Serbians are attempting to occupy the fortress of Widin to prevent the Bulgarians receiving munitions from Austria. GERMAN REPORT. i Received Oct. 19, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 18. A Berlin wireless states: Westward of Belgrade the enemy' are beginning to retreat. The Bulgarians have occupied the heights of Muslinperoin and Balinaub. COMMANDER GOES TO THE FRONT. DEDE AGATOH TO BE EVACUATED. Received Oct. 19, 9 p.m. London, Oct. 18.. The Bulgarians have ordered civilians to evacuate Dede Agatch, fearing the Allied bombardment, and only military remain. General Sarrail left for Serbia yesterday. ITALIAN CABINET. DISCUSSES THE SITUATION, Received Oct. 19, 9 p.m, Rome, Oct. 19. An important Cabinet meeting was held on Sunday, when M. Sontino explained the international situation and outlined Italy's programme in view of the Balkan complications. SHUFFLING OF GREECE, ' ROUMANIA WAITING EVENTS. GERMAN VERSION OF THE PUZZLE. Received Oct. 19, 9 p.m. Zurich, Oct. 18. The Bulgarian Foreign Minister has been informed by a German correspondent that Greece will not declare war while the Central Powers are successful, 'but if the Austro-Germans weaken, Greece will attack immediately. Roumania will await events, and support the side which proves the stronger. SERBIAN SUCCESSES. GERMANS SUFFER HEAVILY. Received Oct. 19, 10.55 p.m. London, Oct. 19. Bucharest telegrams report that a serious German reverso occurred in Limok valley, and the Germans also failed to break the Serbian line in the Gornacco sector, in an eight hours' battle. The Serbians captured two thousand prisoners, chiefly Germans. The latter abandoned four guns, and there was an enormous number of dead i before the Serbian front
