''A word a caution may be spoken to those who are looking for too speedy results," says a London military critic dealign with the present offensive. "A great strategic plan takes work out. It was three months from FieldMarshal von Mackensen's first assault until Warsaw fell. Great movements begun at the best must have their slow hours, and it is necessary to view them in sane perspective. We have not only to win the victory, but to follow it up; and this needs a tremendous and sustained effort; large numbers of men to supply the wastage, and a steady stream of muntions."
