The animal report stated that the year just concluded had been the most progressive in the Society's existence, and never before has Kawaroa Park so well deserved the name of a park. This occupied considerable time and absorbed most of the Society's funds, but there is no doubt as to the improvement It has made. Euchre parties increased the funds by £7O. The ladies, to whom the Society tenders its thanks and appreciation, have inaugurated, for the public convenience, and incidentally for the Society's financial benefit, afternoon teas in thb bungalow on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The ladies are voluntarily doing the work, and even at this early stage it can be. said that the public appreciate their efforts. The finance* of the society are in a very satisfactory condition.
