NATIONAL REGISTER.
THE FORM OF QUESTION. FIRST CALL TO BE FOR SINGLE MEN. Wellington, Thursday. The National Register, which was authorised by Act passed during the recent session of Parliament, will be compiled in the near future. The arrangements for the collection of the necessary information are now in hand, and within the next two or three weeks the men of military' age throughout the country are likely to be called upon to fill up the forms that will be distributed to them. Tlie Government has approved a form that is designed to make it clear to everybody concerned that the first call is to the single men and the men without dependents. After supplying information regarding his age, health, employment, and position in relation to dependents, each man will be required to answer one of the following questions:— If you have not already volunteered for service, are you, if a single man without dependents, willing to become a member of the expeditipnary forces? Are you, if a single man with dependents, or a married man, or a widower with dependents, willing to become a member of the expeditoiriary forces if required?
