A table to the Underwriters' Association reports that submarines have sunk five steamers in the Mediterranean. Details are unavailable. The news has caused an increase in rates. ACTIVE BRITISH "TIN-CANS." STOP TRADE TO GERMANY. Received Oct. 13, 9.45 p.m. Copenhagen, Oct. 13. The Politiken states that the British lubmarines' activity is very pronounced. They sunk five German steamers, whose crews were saved. Swedish and Danish traffic towards Germany has been suspended. LINER SUNK. Received Oct. 13, n.30 p.m. London. Oct. 13. Jhe liner Halizones lias been sunk. B»e crew were saved.
