MATTHEWS, GAMLIN & OO.'S REPORT. Matthews, Gainlin and Co. report a good sale at Mr. A. Smith's at Ru,tapiko. There was a. good attendance of buyers from the surrounding districts, and with the exception of furniture, which sold in buyers' favor, everything sold freely at good prices. Wo quote: Two-year steers £4 10s, empty heifers £3 lbs Cd, empty cows £4 to £"> 10s, f.m. rams 27s to 30s, ewes and lamb 3 335, hoggets 10s (id, harness horses £l4 to £2O, cart £8 K)s, drill £2B 10s, and sundries at satisfactory prices. On Wednesday last we held our usual weekly sale in our Inglewood yards and had a, good yarding, which met with a ready sale, especially store and forward cows, but small and backward springers were hard to quit.
