P. AND 0. LINER SUNK. ONLY TWENTY SURVJ.VORS. London, Oct. 7. The British steamer Arabia has been sunk. There are twenty survivors. (The Arabia was a P. and 0. steamer of 7933 tons, built in 1888. She had a speed of 18 knots.) LOSS OF THE BENEDETTO BRIM. A TERRIFIC EXPLOSION. Rome, Oct. 7. The explosion on the Benedetto Brin on September 30 shook Brindisi. The fumes covered the town like a mist, causing a feeling of terror. Admiral Rubindegervin had left a few minutes before tiie five broke out, and promptly leturned. lie was holding a consultation with ins officers in the saloon when the explosion occurred. The whole .forward part was blown into the air, and a hail of splintered steel fell on the houses and streets. The greater par% of the ship disappeared under the water, which was not deep enough to submerge the whole vessel. The Admiral and. most of the officers perished.
