RIFLE SHOOTING.
MEETING OF TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. A meeting of delegates of the Taranaki Rifle Association was held in New Plymouth last night. The following delegates were present:—Colonel Okey, in the chair, and Messrs Hill and Oliver (New Plymouth), Taylor and King (Inglewood), Brocklebank and Jackson (Stratford), Carey and Palmer (Patea), and Holland (Kaponga). A financial statement concerning last year's meeting was presented, showing a credit balance of £24 10s 3d.
It wa3 decided to hold a meeting in 1916, on the first Thursday and Friday in February. In regard to matches, it was decided to leave the Kaponga, Inglewood, and Patea matches as amended, while the Stratford and New Plymouth match will remain, subject to an alteration agreed to. The short and long range aggregate and the teams' match will remain as at present.
THE PATEA TEAM. The following team will represent Patea in the shield match against Inglewood at Inglewood to-day:—President Palmer, Deputy-President D. Thompson, Riflemen M. Carey, Roots, E. Thompson, Eden, Gilbert, Bulther, and Willis.
