COMING TO REASON. DECLARATION BY HERTZOG. Received Oct. 5, 5.5 p.m. Capetown, Oct. 4. At a meeting, a heckler asked General 'Hertzog whether, if Britain won the war, he would favor restoring SouthWest Africa to the Germans.
Hertzog replied: "No. Since we have it, it would be insanity to hand it back again."
