WHEN THE STRAITS ARE FORCED. TURKEY WILL COLLAPSE. London, Oct. 3. Sir Edwin Pears says: "Turkey will have collapsed a fortnight after we are through the Dardanelles. There, will then be a rising against the Government, as discontent in Turkey is widespread."
A TURKISH REPORT. Amsterdam, Oct. 3. A Turkish communique states: Near Sedd-ul-Bahr we silenced some enemy 'batteries, destroyed a portion of trenches on the left wing and exploded a mine by a, counter-mine on the right wing.

GREAT IMPROVEMENTS I N'CREASING THE OUTPUT. Received Oct. 4, 7 p.m. Paris, Oct. 3. The Secretary for Aeronautics, in an interview, stated that work is going on unceasingly on the construction of heavy machines. The radius of action anil speed of the biplanes has been increased, and monoplanes have been discarded. In twelve months the lifting capacity of French aeroplanes has been quadrupled and their speed nearly doubled.
