RECRUITING RALLY. THE NEED FOR SHELLS. Received Oct 4, 12.10 a.m. London, Oct. 3. Ten thousand troops at Glasgow, and eight thousand at Birmingham paraded in connection with the national recruiting rally. Tlio War Office has issued the report of the party of munitions workers of Manchester who> after visiting the front, advocate everything that la humanly possible should be done to increase to the fullest extent the production of guns and shells. GATHERING THEM IN. Received Oct. 4, 12.20 a.m. London, Oct. 3. Six thousand khaki-clad men took, part in a recruiting march from the centre of London to the north, south, east and west, with a view to impressing young Londoners of the urgency of the pall to arms. Members of the House'of Commons and others witnessed thej march, and recruiting meetings were held along the route. j
