FELL OUT OF THE TRAIN.
ACCIDENT AT LEPPERTON JUNCTION. A man named Petersen fell off the Waitara train at Lepeprton .Tnnetioi last night, and sustained injuries which necessitated his removal to the New 'Plymouth Hospital. Petersen was travelling from Waitara to join the express .for New Plymouth, and when the train entered the Li-p----perton Junction station he alighted wlrn his back towards the engine, and fell between the platform and the carriages. The train was brought to a Standstill, and when Petersen was rescued from his precarious position it was found that he was suffering from cuts and bruiser and shock, and was in a dazed condition. He was brought to New Plymouth by the mail train.
On enquiry at the hospital late last night, it was stated that the full extent of Petersen's injuries had not keen ascertained. The man was unable to give any identification of himself bo yond his name, and that he resides at Wangamii.
