IT'S WOBK FOR SOLDIERS. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting to-day of the Bible-ln-Schools League Dominion Executive, Bishop Neville presiding, it was decided to accept Canon Garland's resignation as organising secretary, and the meeting expressed great appreciation of his Work while in New Zealand. It was reported that £'2195 had been raised by members of the League to provide ambulances for the Expeditionary Force, and a sum of £2OOO, sufficient to provide four ambulances, had been handed to the Defence Minister, It was decided that the balance of £195 be handed to the Government for the purpose of providing hospital accommodation at Botorua for wounded soldiers, returning from the front. Bev. H. H. Robjons, formerly general secretary to the League in the Auckland province, was appointed acting-secretary of the League.
