The marriage of Mr; W. H. Armstrong to Miss Joyce Hempton takes place shortly. Mr. Armstrong has been appointed manager of the Inglewood branch of Messrs We3ton and Weston, solicitors. The engagement is announced of Miss Gladys Christie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Christie, St. John's Hill, Wanganui, to Dr. Douglas Wilson, of the Expeditionary Forces. Miss J. McAllum, of the Christchurch Hospital staff, who has been spending her holidays with her parents in New Plymouth, has returned, accompanied by he? sister, Miss L. McAllum.
