BOROWHENUA RACING CLUB. By Telegraph.—Preaa Association. Levin, Last Night. There was splendid weather for the Horowhenua spring meeting. The couwe was in good order, and close finishes prevailed. There was a good attendants, and £8754 was passed through the totalisator. Results:— MAIDEN SCURRY. Five furlongs.— 4 iPomeroy, 1; 2 Awapuni, 2: 9 Lady Edith, 3. Also started: 7La Beau, (i Waitomo, 10 Wairiri, 8 Amber and Black, 3 Harem Skirt, 5 Martial Air, 1 Pall Mall. Won by a length from Awapuni, Lady Edith a close third. Time, lmin 3see. LEVIN HACK HANDICAP. Six furlongs.—l Combustion, 1; 5 Ally, 2; 2 Wirokino, 3. Also started: 3 Iceberg, 6 Innoladdo, and 4 Sir Saracen. Innoladdo led to the home turn, where Combustion came up on the outside and won by a head, a length between second and third. Time, lmin 10 4-osec. McDonald memorial stakes. one mile. —1 Peronilla, 8.11, 1; 3 Tangiwai, 8.8, 2j 2 Black Lupin, 8.8, 3. Rene led into the straight, followed by Square Deal and Tangihou, with Maniaroa coming fast. In a splendid finish Maniaroa won by half a length. Time, 2min 8 4-ssee. MOUTERE HACK HANDICAP..—S Combustion, and 1 Bronk Delaval, deadheat, 1; 4 Vladincau, 3. Also started: 5 Squadron, and 3 Ballyhar. Ballyhar led into the straight, when Combustion took the lead, and a great race to the post resulted ■in a dead-heat. Time, lmin 30 3-ssee. WERAROA TROT. Two miles.-I Stone Beldon, 1; 2 Hymen, 2; 3 Floral 3. Also started: 4 Commandite. Won 'by two lengths. Time, 4min 53 3-ssec. OTTAU HACK HANDICAP. Time, lmin 57 3-sscc. KUROW JOCKEY CLUB. 1 Oamaru, Last Night. (The spring meeting of the Kurow Jcckey Club was held to-day in ideal weather. There was a record attendance and the totalisator handled £ 10,498 (a record for the club), as against £SB97 last year. Results:— HAKATARAMEA HANDICAP. Thaddeus, 1; Aerial. 2; 7 Charleville, 3.
