BOWLING.

WOUNDED SOLDIERS' FUND. In order to swell the fund that is being raised by bowlers throughout the Dominion for the assistance of our returned wounded soldiers, the committee of the Fitzroy CMb decided last night to throw open their green to-morrow (Thursday) afternoon, weather permitting, to all bowlers who are willing to assist the fund, each player to contribute a shilling. Teams will be chosen at 2 p.m., and as the green is in capital order, play should be enjoyable. This effort to assist the fund has no connection with what the Club may do of itself by way of subscriptions, but is a special means of raising funds, and it is hoped bowlers will take advantage of the opportunity and be present in large numbers.
