Also started: Namur, Miss Clements, Orlando, Record Breaker, Trickery, Sir Musketry, Pall Mall, La Dean, Lady Edith, Martial Air, Tango. Tango dislodged his rider and took no part in the race. Won by a length and a half, a length separating second and third. Trickery close up fourth. Time, Imin 31scc. DOMINION DAY HACK HANDICAP. —Montana, 0.3, 1; Maltegarde, 7.T, »; Plunder, 8.11, 3. Also started: Martyress, Sir Miraculous, Borsil, Roumania, Blue Thread, Squadron, Mon. tana and Maltegarde . had the field beaten, the former coming away in the straight and winning comfortably by a lengfih and a half, a length separating second and third. Time, Inrin 3 l-ssec. TATIMI STEEPLECHASE. Master Strowan, 10.12, 1; Naupata, 10.12, 2;' Parawanui, 10.3, 3. Also started: Merry Lad, Sam Pan, Eatua, Happy Jacr. Katua ran off and Happy Jack fell. Parawanui led for the greater part of the distance, hut entering the straight for the second time was replaced by Naupata and Master Strowan, the latter securing the verdict by three parts of a length. Time, 4min 202-ssec. iMEMOBIAL STAKES.—Master Moutoa, 6.9, 1; Immer, 7.2,2; Imarose, 7.7, 3. Also started: Byron, Square Deal, Gold Soult, Haumakaha, His Eminence, Mcrrie Gain, Seatondale. Immer led for the greater portion of the distance, being replaced in the straight by Ms iter Mouot», who won by half a length, Imarose close up. Time, 2min Bsec. i STEWARD® HACK HANDICAP.— Botanist, 8.12, 1; Happiness, 7.11, 2; Combustion, 8.2, 3. Also started: Hushabye, Royal Scout, Mystified, Innoladdo, Sir Slaracen.
