RED CROSS WORK. London, Sept. 26. Messrs Courtauld and Thomson, Red ' Cross Commissioners in the Mediterranean, interviewed, said that the Red Cross had six fully organised depots in -Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean, 'and others at Gallipoli. The British organisation was in complete harmony With the Australasian branch, eaeli doing its best to help the other. The Red Cross ladies were indefatigable, despite the temperature of 116 degrees in the shade. The Red Cross was spending nearly £IOOO daily.
NEED FOR DOCTORS. (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) London, Sept. 26. Sir James Barr, writing to the Liverpool Board of Guardians, stresses the necessity of medical men for the armies. If conscription is coming it will be the duty of public bodies to discbarge men fit for military service. If Britain is unable to produce additional doctors she must apply to America.
