SCULLING.
WEBB V. HANNAN. Interest is steadily increasing (says the Chronicle) in the sculling championship of New 2ealand which will be decided to-day at Wanganui. On Wednesday, Webb had bis final sp'n, and greatly pieased his supporters. He covered two miles at a good pace, and was accompanied by Hadfield, tbe New Zealand amateur champion, and A. Sharpe.
_ Hannan went over the full course, and is evidently in very good form. Complete arrangements have been made for the public. Steamers will leave Hatrick's wharf at 10 a.m. The big race is timed to start at noon. The officials will be:—Messrs. Alf. Gray, starter; P. Evans, umpire and H. W. Cooper, judge. '
