ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
GIRL KILLED BY TRAM-CAR. Dunedin, September 20. A distressing fatality occurred at Caversham shortly after 5 p.m. to-day, when a girl named Edna Leonore Allmond, oniy daughter of Constable Allmond, was run over by a tram-car and killed, he: skull being fractured. The child was running in the same direction as the car, and evidently was unaware of its proxin.ity. Her father was close by at the lime and witnessed the tragedy.
SUICIDE AT AUCKLAND. Auckland, Yesterday. George Lovegrove, a married man, was found dead on the cliff near Fort Cautley with a gunshot wound on the temple and a revolver with one chamber discharged alongside his body. Lovegrove was 45 years of age and resided in the Mount Eden district.
