AVONDALE MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The spring meeting of the Avondale Jockey Club opened to-day in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance and the sum of £22.560 10s was put through the totalisator, as against £20,568 10s for the corresponding day last year. Going across the top, Loloma was still in fro'aS, with Jnonnuala and Castalia handy. Once into the straight Castalia and Fionnuala put in their claims, the forms.- winning by a neck from Loloma and fionnuala. Royal Irish was fourth. Time, Stain Usee.
