AUCKLAND POWDER EXPLOSION. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association." Auckland, Last Night. At the inquest Into the circumstances connected with the death of William Robert HufT, who lost his life as the result of injuries received in an explosion of powder 011 the cutter Rosalie 011 August '2lst, the Coroner returned ft verdict that death was due to severe burns. The evidence did not show how the explosion occurred, but it showed that deceased and other men 011 board were drinking and smoking. The critter was licensed and properly equipped for carrying explosives, and no reason was suggested for tlu> explosion, by the evidence, other than the careless and improper conduct of those on at tiie time.
