BACK FROM SAMOA.

OFFICERS AND MEN RETURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. The officer in command of the party which returned from Samoa by the Navua last night is Captain C. H. Matthews, of the Garrison Artillery, Adjutant to the Samoan Relief Force. The other officers are: Sui'gcon-Ciiptains A. \V. Izard {of Wellington) and 11. G. S. Monk (Auckland i, Lieutenant C. Mackie (Auckland), and Lieutenant F. 11. Anderson (of Wellington). Of these Captain Matthews, Captain Izard, and Lieutenant Anderson are recalled for duty. Captain Monk ami Lieutenant Mackie are invalided. Returning non-commissioned officers and men are:—Sergeant-Major Copclaml, Medical Corps, Wellington, recalled for duty; Sergeant R. Croucher, Auckland, invalided; Sergeant C, I). Bay, recalled for duty; Corporals A. Colston, C. E. K. Kelly, J. Gardiner, Privates F. W. Bezer, F. E. Bailey, J. li. Burns, 1). J. Dcverill, C. Dickinson, J. W. Elmsley, J. KUick, G. 11. Foote, W. Lomax, A. M: 'Uae, S. Marenzie, C. C. Neville, ,T. G. Scriingeour, E. Wallace, W. F. Morris, C. O'Connel, 1!, I/. Price, C. M. Keefe, and M. J. Dunne. Of the soldiers Lieutenant Anderson, Sergeant-Major Copeland, am' Sergeants Bay and Croucher left with the advance party, but the other officers and men were all" members of the relief force which went to Samoa in / nril.
