LADIES' TOURNAMENT. Wellington, Last Night. The New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Championship Tournament was continued on Saturday, when the seventh round was played, all games being keenly contested. Wairarapa and Wellington put up a particularly strenuous match, the city girls failing after desperate endeavours to avert defeat. Poverty Bay have one more match to play against Wellington, hut even if they should lose this the Poverty Bay girls have secured the championship, while if WjJlington heat the Gisbornites tomorrow they will tic with Wairarapa' for second honours. Yesterday's results: Wairarapa bent Wellington by 1 goal to 0; IPoverty Bay heat Wanganui by 5 goals to 1; IClanawatu beat Hawkc's Bay by 1 goal to 0.
